Energy-Efficiency = Cost-Efficiency

Energy resources are scarce and electricity from the grid is expensive. In other words, energy efficiency is equal to cost efficiency. Future competitiveness and prosperity depend more on the ability to make the most efficient use of energy. By better processes there is a considerable potential for improving energy efficiency as well in industry as in private homes.

Energy efficiency technologies

German energy efficiency technologies are a global leader in the condensing technology for gas and oil boilers, can be achieved with an efficiency of nearly 100 percent. The same applies to the market of renewable energy technology.

Potential for improving energy efficiency

In industrial plants of cold- and heat-feed, with ventilation equipment, pumping systems, compressed air systems and conveyor systems are in many companies high savings possible. Lighting systems to renew is


economically extremely lucrative, companies can save more than 50 percent of current costs in upgrading inefficient lighting systems.

The power consumption and the associated costs of these technologies are in many companies today cut by five to 50 percent. The return on investment payback periods are usually less than two years, often in excess of 25 percent. Thus, energy- efficiency measures for businesses are economically very profitable.
